Seminar: An Introduction to Marine Cargo Insurance

Marine Cargo Insurance shares many common themes with the general law of insurance, as well as certain differences peculiar to marine insurance generally. In his talk Ravi will address a number of topics including in particular the following:

  • When is a cargo insurance policy marine in nature
  • What are the perils typically insured against
  • What are the principal differences with non-marine insurance
  • What is the measure of indemnity under a marine cargo policy

Ravi's talk should be of interest to any lawyers who may on occasion have reason to look at marine cargo insurance policies in their practices as well as to shipping and insurance lawyers generally.
